SteelWind "Disney Cartoon Fantasy"

The new project of "Steelwind" Chamber Saxophon Quartet: Disney Cartoon Fantasy.
The Disney Production in 1940 realized the most beautiful cartoon accompanied by the most famous soundtrack of classical music. The film should have been called didactically "the movie concert". But someone had the brillant idea calling it "Fantasia" and that title was a worldwide success. 
Steelwind, with the intention to play fined music, arranged and sincronized live music with this amazing imagine making the show very interesting and really difficult for its realization.

SteelWind "The French Style"

An hommage to french music. From the inspiring and versatile “Création du monde” of Milhaud, the refined atmospheres of Debussy, Ravel and Fauré, the lightness of Gounod’s “Marche funèbre pour une marionnette” to Carmen’s temperament in Bizet’s opera.

A portrait of two among the greatest american composers: Gershwin with “An American in Paris” and “Porgy and Bess” and Bernstein with “West Side Story”, in a playful version for saxophones only.

SteelWind "Hommage to Gershwin" (quartet & piano)

“Rhapsody in Blue” and “Variations on I got rhythm”, “An American in Paris”, “Concert in F” and “Porgy and Bess”, are the departing point of a concert focused on Music that takes its inspiration from jazz and ethnic influences.
The piano and the four saxophones together give life to a very particular world of sounds.

Astor Piazzolla’s Tangos revisited in a tasteful cameristic key, in a program full of pathos and melancholy.

A roundtrip with different authors to go back and find the original sound and accents of a gender that has been strongly influenced by classical and popular music.

SteelWind "Minimalism"

Leitmotiv of this program is easy listening music by famous minimalistic composers such as Nyman, Glass, Mertens and Jacob TV. We choosed to interpret some wellknown pieces in a very academic way, with a warm touch given by the saxophone’s timbre.
